Eating Disorder Consultation Group for Non-Dietitian Professionals

In the eating disorder field, collaboration with a multidisciplinary team is an essential part of client care. This monthly professional consultation group is geared towards outpatient providers who are outside of the dietetic profession (e.g. mental health therapists, physicians, prescribers) and currently working with eating disorders/disordered eating (EDs/DE) or those who don’t specialize in this field but frequently encounter clients/patients with EDs/DE and would like to learn more about how to support them.

  • When? The 2nd Thursday of the month, 12-1 pm (Next group: January 8th)
  • Who? Non-dietitian providers who work with EDs/DE or have an interest in the field, maximum 6-8 participants (must have minimum of 3 participants for group to be held)
  • Where? Virtual (link will be provided upon registration)
  • How much? $25-40 (sliding scale) per group
  • Why? As a helping professional, you will gain support with challenging cases from the perspective of an eating disorder dietitian in addition to other disciplines, expand your knowledge in the treatment of EDs/DE, receive peer support and validation to reduce clinician burnout, and increase your confidence in working with EDs/DE.
  • How do I register? Send me a message through the contact form at the bottom of this page! You are also welcome to send me any questions you have about the group and/or schedule a brief phone call to learn more.

Eating Disorder Consultation Group for Dietitians

When I first began working in private practice, I felt very isolated in my work and was in need of support from my peers. Group consultation has been essential in my own professional development and growth; I would love the opportunity to offer this supportive space to my fellow dietitians! This consultation group is geared towards outpatient registered dietitians currently working with eating disorders/disordered eating (EDs/DE) or those who don’t specialize in this field but frequently encounter clients/patients with EDs/DE and would like to learn more about how to support them.

  • When? The 3rd Thursday of the month, 12-1 pm (Next group: January 15th)
  • Who? Registered dietitians who work with eating disorders or have an interest in the field, maximum 6-8 participants (must have minimum of 3 participants for group to be held)
  • Where? Virtual (link will be provided upon registration)
  • How much? $25-40 (sliding scale) per group
  • Why? You will gain support with challenging cases, expand your resources to support your clients with EDs/DE, receive peer support and validation to reduce clinician burnout, and increase your confidence in working with EDs/DE.
  • How do I register? Send me a message through the contact form at the bottom of this page! You are also welcome to send me any questions you have about the group and/or schedule a brief phone call to learn more.

A little about me:

I have worked in the eating disorder field since 2016 and received extensive training in therapeutic modalities such as Internal Family Systems (IFS), Radically Open DBT (RO-DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) which I enjoy integrating into my nutrition counseling. I have worked in a private practice setting since 2018 and opened my own solo practice in 2019 based in Portland, Oregon. I have a particular interest in working with clients who are queer, neurodivergent, and mixed race as I hold all of these identities myself and have extensive experience working with clients in these populations. I particularly enjoy working with orthorexia and individuals who are helping professionals themselves.
